Nova Scotia driftwood spirits

Living in my part of the world provides so much material for a wood carver. When the Mersey River is drained almost completely (by a dam further up-river) locals go into the river bed and gather up dead-fall and driftwood which as you can see, makes for interesting carvings. I never know what might be waiting under that greyed wood. It is usually a pleasant surprise.
